VERY substantial caster: These LOOK like their rating of 5000 pounds. The base plate is 3/8 thick and the side plates are 5/16 thick and slightly curved to enhance side-load capability. All of the dimensions are true to specification - - however, note that the projections of the axle bolt and grease fitting make it slightly wider than the base plate, if you're working on any tight-fit situation.

The wheels are slightly sharp-edged, clearly meant for use on very hard floors. Mine will see some asphalt, so I will probably round-off the edges a bit to keep from making edge-tracks.

This is pretty much what I needed. The quality seems to be there as far as I can tell.
Its much smaller than I thought it would be. Which is a good thing as long as it has the 500# of pull.
It also comes with an individual serial numbered load rating certification. I guess in case you need it for industrial use.
I may buy a few more since its so compact. Pretty much the size of my fist if you don't include the chain.
