The Vario K Body REVO clamp enables the head to be adjusted at the press of a button. The new K Body REVO clamp from BESSEY achieves a powerful 7,000 N clamping force - some 2,000 N more than usual.

Bessey KRK1224 K Body REVO Fixed Jaw Parallel Clamp Kit, Includes: 2-12-inch, 2-24-inch K Body Clamps and 1 set of KP Blocks Review

There was a time when the Bessey K Body was the best parallel clamp out there. Then others (Jet in particular), created a better clamp with bigger faces, more user friendly features, etc.

Bessey has responded with the K Body Revo, which seems to put it back on top of the parallel clamp world. The faces are bigger and have removable caps that allow easy removal of glue. They now include clips that attach to the rail and separate the work from the clamp rails, helping to reduce glue getting on the rail. The tail piece helps hold the clamps upright while setting up your clamps. And the KP blocks are surprisingly useful for clamping rectangular assemblies.

All in all, these are fantastic clamps.

Trend VARIJIG Frame System Review

This is a good system, the design and the concept is very good but the attachment screws are very small and could lost easily.I wish the attachment screws was designed to tighten with the thumbs this would make the system much easier to use.The excellent thing is that the price is great.

KOHLER K-12185-CP Fairfax Single Control Remote Valve Kitchen Sink Faucet, Polished Chrome Review

As a builder and remodeler, I've bought hundreds of faucets from just about every vendor out there over the years. But as time passes I find myself buying more and more products from Kohler.

I bought this particular kitchen faucet for my mother. So, I can't take any chances on a fly-by-night, here-today-gone-tomorrow brand like Pegasus or Kingston Brass or any other Chinese-made knock off brands. If this faucet craps out in a year or two--momma's gonna give me an ear full. :)

Customer service is one of the main reasons I buy Kohler products. They've been around for 100 yrs and they'll probably be around for another 100 (unless they pull a "Maytag" and start building and selling crappy products and ruin their good reputation). I've called Kohler for replacements parts for a faucet that was 10 yrs old and they sent me the parts free of charge--and even paid for the shipping. They'll spend $10 sending you a .10 part. It's smart really, because every time they do that, they build brand loyalty, which pays off over time.

Mom lives in a 1940s ranch-style house in Salt Lake City and we've been slowly trying to add back some of the vintage charm that the former owners "remodeled" right out of it. She wanted new granite counters & a new sink & faucet but instead I talked her into just replacing the sink & faucet for now to see how that felt. So, out came the cheapo stainless sink & the cheapo Home Depot faucet that some idiot installed and in went a nice, new, deep double bowl sink & this Kohler Fairfax chrome faucet that I picked up for a great price on Amazon. And, voila! The kitchen looks great and mom's 100% satisfied. She doesn't need those expensive, fancy counters anyway. She's almost 70 and she's the best cook in the county... $4000 worth of granite isn't gonna make her cobbler any tastier!

Kohler's expensive but if you shop around (and Amazon's usually very competitive) you can get a price that's comparable to a cheapo faucet from Home Depot or Lowes that you'd buy off the shelf. And there is no comparison in quality or even in style. Kohler keeps its product lines simple and classic and when the do add a new line they stick with it. So your renovation doesn't date itself so quickly. (Uh, hello, have you seen those goofy bamboo shaped faucets that some people are putting in their bathrooms these days...? How silly are those going to look in a couple of years?)

One caveat: I have noticed that--to compete on price--Kohler products that I buy at Home Depot don't always have the same quality parts (i.e. full chrome pop ups & braided steel hoses) that they used to have--or that they have when you buy them through plumbing supply houses. I understand why they are doing this--but it still annoys me. I mean, if you can't manufacture a quality faucet for $99, then don't sell $99 faucets. But, it's a dirty game out there with so much cheap stuff being manufactured overseas... Kohler's 100% American made--in Kohler, WI, so they are going to cost a bit more. But, I don't mind paying a little extra for quality & service.

Dean Premium Carpet Stair Treads - Striation Stripes Beige 26" x 9" (Set of 13) Review

I bought these threads to replace an old stair runner. The work of removing the runner, padding and those nasty staples took longer than installing these treads. They were installed with double-sided carpet tape and work just perfectly. These treads are good quality with perfect size for my stairs and there is no need for padding. I was hesitant to purchase this item because there was no prior review and I was worried about the color. After receiving the carpet, the color is exactly the one shown on the photo. The look is modern and not like any traditional runner design.

Shipping was fast - ordered on Monday and arrived Friday. By Sunday, I had a complete stair carpet makeover. Packing was also done nicely in a shipping box. Overall, I am very happy that I don't have to use a runner and can easily replace the carpet with stair treads.
