This gun receives a 5 star rating for the weight savings alone, about three pounds lighter than the 18 volt gun, and that's significant. Battery life is outstanding, I used it for an entire eight hour workday and the battery life indicator went down only two bars, impressive. I was skeptical that a twelve volt tool could push the caulk out of the cone (Sonneborn NP1) let alone last for any significant amount of time, I was wrong. For me this gun is going to replace my manual Cox sausage gun, the M12 has instant back pressure relief, which makes for a nice clean no drip break.
Positives and Negatives;
Positives first, dispenses smoothly, adjustable with speed dial and trigger, accessories compatible with Cox, such as barrel, collar and cones, battery life is impressive, lightweight.
Negatives, made in China, I'm not anti trade, I like to buy American when possible, only one battery comes with the gun, the release button to draw back plunger is not accessible with thumb, minor complaint.
For me not many negatives and numerous positives, if you're a Tuckpointer give this caulk gun a try, it's only 170.00 bucks, and to my way of thinking that's a mere pittance to pay for an increase of footage of about thirty percent!
