I bought these blankets for my furniture vending business so they get used a lot. After using them a while the edge seams started to come apart. I bought a used sewing machine and added two more seams on the edge of each blanket. (I have 24 blankets). It took me about 45 minutes to do one blanket. Also, if you took them outside and gave them a good shake, you would get a large cloud of polyester fibers. I then took them all to the laundramat and placed 3 at a time in a super giant washer. After drying they smelled a lot better and there was a lot less polyester flying around. So if you get these I would do the sewing and cleaning first before using them. I believe if you try to wash them before adding the extra seams they may come completely apart. The thickness of these blankets are good. I haven't had any problems since I sewed and cleaned the blankets.
