I bought two power cords, one for me and one for my friend. My friend plugged in his cable after wiring his house for generator. He blew the furnace circuits when he switched to generator power. He called an Electrician who tested the generator power and noticed its uneven ~240volts on one side and ~10volts on the other side and isolated the problem to the cable. I complained to the company and they suggested me to return the cables to Candia NH address for testing. Since Candia is so close to my home, I actually drove and spoke to a gentleman named Larry. He is an electrician as well, was calm, tested the cables and found to be in working condition. He offered to come our house (since we are close by) and test the cables with us. We were able to replicate the exact scenario (voltage discrepancy; not burning the circuits). Larry quickly found that the cable was not fully pushed in and twisted to lock all four connectors, which was causing the neutral wire not getting engaged. That was it!!!Since the cable didn't come with any instructions my friend didn't know that you have to push in hard all the way and then have to twist it. We suggested one sheet of paper with instructions should be included with the cable going forward or may be sticker on the connector to indicate it needs to pushed all the way through. I honestly think cable should come with a protection to make "idiot proof". Larry agreed and mentioned about a new product that they are working on to do just that. Anyways, although it ended up costing my friend several hundred dollars, we were happy in the end due to the service we got. I thought through for a few days whether i should write this review or not but i think its helpful for the people who are buying the cable so they don't make the same mistake my friend made. Its definitely cheaper than any other cable we surveyed on the market.
