The knife was shipped promptly.
I initially purchased this for deer hunting next season but I have now used it to clean 4 game birds and the set works quite well for that. The blade with the ball end made it easy to get under the skin and make the cuts. It used to be a lot more time consuming to do a neat job without getting feathers all over the meat. The broad blade worked well. It was a good size and shape to get the job done and is well balanced. The saw blade worked well cutting through bone. It is twice as long as my current saw I use so I suspect I may need to change my technique when it comes to getting through the Sternum. I suspect it will work better due to the longer cutting stroke. The rubber grips and finger relief on the handle made it easy to hold throughout the process and never felt slippery ( I wear Nitril gloves when doing this work) . Changing the blades out worked well. The initial blade changes needed a little more care aligning the two pieces because of sharp corners on the mating edges. Over time I suspect they will burnish in well. I honed the edges of the blade that engage the handle on one of the blades with a very fine stone and that makes installing it very smooth so I will do this to all blades. The whole package takes less space in my pack than the other tools I used and it is now more organized. I am quite sure this system will work well for my deer hunting needs.
