Worst ... assembly ... instructions ... ever :)

Seriously though, I really liked the light. As the title mentions, it is very solidly made with lots of nice decorative touches. And the metal down shaft (or whatever it is called), is in 3 segments so you can vary the length from the ceiling to as little as 6 inches if desired.

But as I mentioned above, the instructions are completely worthless. Poor English translations from Chinese is the best I can guess. With the bulk of the instruction just a simple picto-graph with the pieces sort of arranged as if they were in an exploded view. Good news is that if you have ever changed a ceiling fixture before, it is pretty self evident ... but still.

The only issue I had that nearly got me in trouble is the length of wire that goes up the metal shaft is extra long in case you need to wire it to something. Which is nice I guess but I didn't need it so I cut the excess off. Then I noticed that all three wires (ground, neutral, and hot) were identical color and coding! Thank goodness I had a volt ohm meter to sort that out. Otherwise I would have been screwed try to figure out which was the ground wire, etc. So if you do trim the excess wire (and you will likely need to), make sure you mark which wire is which before you snip.

Now having said that, I am very pleased with the product and am placing an order for some more for another room.
