I bought these threads to replace an old stair runner. The work of removing the runner, padding and those nasty staples took longer than installing these treads. They were installed with double-sided carpet tape and work just perfectly. These treads are good quality with perfect size for my stairs and there is no need for padding. I was hesitant to purchase this item because there was no prior review and I was worried about the color. After receiving the carpet, the color is exactly the one shown on the photo. The look is modern and not like any traditional runner design.

Shipping was fast - ordered on Monday and arrived Friday. By Sunday, I had a complete stair carpet makeover. Packing was also done nicely in a shipping box. Overall, I am very happy that I don't have to use a runner and can easily replace the carpet with stair treads.
